Bengaluru: A 19-year-old girl student ended her life by jumping from the terrace of a paying guest accommodation in Jeevan Bima Nagar after her college authority threw her out of the examination hall.

According to reports, the girl identified as S Bhavya, was sent out for being allegedly involved in malpractice during the exam.

However, her family members refuse to take those allegations on her daughter and said that she was a bright student and had no reason to break rules.

Bhavya was a student of Jyoti Nivas College in Koramangala and resident of Murugeshpalya.

Reportedly, she was depressed after being debarred for copying and wanted to end her life. Meanwhile, the college authorities denied the allegation of debarring Bhavya and said they had positively counselled her after she was caught copying.

She went to college at around 11 AM to prepare for the exam paper that was scheduled between 2pm and 4 pm. However, around 2.45 pm, she was caught by the invigilator copying answers from a small chit following which she was taken out of the classroom. After this, she was seen walking out of the college around 3.15 pm.

She then reached PG accommodation and was seen on terrace and step inside around 4.10pm. She jumped off around 4.30 pm.
